Good healthy eating habits can form just as easy as bad ones do. Research shows that we can “re-programme” the mind.
It is possible to lead a healthier life with Type 2 diabetes. We can help you create a lifestyle action plan that fits with your busy schedule.
Being stressed can be a good thing – until it isn’t. Learn to control your stress to improve your quality of life.
Learn how to take back control of your eating habits
Do you eat for comfort?
Do you eat out of boredom?
Do you turn to food as a means of coping with stress and worry?
These can be a lot of stumbling blocks, they can develop into long-term unhealthy eating habits! This is where my approach is different. I don’t use the word “diet” in the sense of losing weight. My clients are taught strong, effective and resilient techniques towards “eating healthy” and learn to take back control of their eating habits. Once we have control….the rest is easy.
Develop a lifestyle action plan that works for you
NHS guidelines to determine pre-diabetes are currently a HbA1c blood test with a reading between 42-47 mmol. If your reading is in this bracket, you are at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. However, with some simple and easy to implement lifestyle changes, you can lower your HbA1c reading and therefore reduce your risk. Having been a Health and Wellbeing Coach on NHS England’s National Diabetes Prevention Programme (NDPP) and having helped hundreds of people lower their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, I can advise and coach you with the same success. I offer an initial consultation where together, we will evaluate your risk factors that contribute to type 2 diabetes, by means of a Health and Wellbeing assessment.
I work with you to develop and support you to implement a lifestyle action plan that will involve sustainable and manageable lifestyle changes. Find out more.
